Lewes

Lewes is riddled with unusual doors, beautiful gardens and pretty cobbled streets.

The Lewes walk shall start in Southover Grange Gardens, where we’ll have a quick introduction before focusing on our cameras. I’ll go through some of the main camera settings and then you can get creative and test the settings while photographing the flowers, statues and inquisitive squirrels.

After this moment of exploration, we’ll regroup and discuss what was easy for you, perhaps what you enjoyed photographing and also what you were struggling with. I’ll offer feedback and advice as to how certain images might become more exciting and the different approaches you can take.

The walk shall then head up the wonderfully steep Keere St and follow the main road to the castle and down towards Pells Pool and the river. There are endless subjects along the way and we’ll stop often to photograph what stands out to us while getting to grips with more of your camera’s manual functions.

As we go along the river we can keep our eyes peeled for wildlife and perhaps even take some action shots at the skatepark.

For those who are keen to get some good sunset photographs, we’ll head up Chapel Hill towards the Golf Course, where there are fantastic views of the River Ouse meandering to the coast.
